Welcome
Our church’s English Ministries (also called The Living Branch) is on a journey together—to follow Jesus, be transformed by Jesus, and connect others with Jesus. Whether you’re just exploring faith, returning to church, or are a lifelong believer, you’re welcome to join us for worship, Bible study, and fellowship.
Why Saturday?
As followers of Christ, we strive to walk in His footsteps—and that includes His rhythm of rest and worship. What we call Saturday, the Bible calls “Sabbath.” It’s a gift of time that God gave to everyone right at the beginning of human history.
In a world that’s always “on,” we find that keeping the seventh day holy is the perfect way to refresh and refocus our hearts on Jesus. It’s our weekly opportunity to pause the work-week hustle, celebrate God’s creation, and reconnect with what matters most. To us, it’s more than a commandment; it’s a chance to experience God’s grace and find true rest for our souls.
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy … the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.” ~ Exodus 20:8-10

English Pastor: Matt Perez

Hi there! Pastor Matt here. I’m the current pastor for English Ministries at the Dallas Korean SDA Church (also called The Living Branch) and was called to serve here at the end of 2023. I’m married, and my wife and I have two amazing kids, Joseph and Lauren. My focus is on helping my people experience the love of Jesus, grow in their understanding of God’s character, and connect more deeply to Him through prayer. I’m all about sharing Bible-based messages with practical applications you can use in your everyday life.
Outside of church, I’m a big fan of board games (looking at you, Settlers of Catan), indoor rock climbing, and taking long walks with my family. I’m hoping to get an opportunity to meet you soon—I’ll be glad to treat you to lunch if you’re up for it!
